Description

OneNote Teacher Academy - Beginner

Presenter: Melissa Cahill

Requirements: Please bring a laptop and/or tablet

Overview

This OneNote Teacher Academy focuses on ways you can use Microsoft OneNote to enable you to communicate, share and collaborate in the classroom, and bring more satisfaction to you as a teacher and to your students as learners. This hands-on day will be focused on you becoming extremely comfortable with OneNote in your work with education professionals and other students, and you will walk away with ideas that you can use immediately in the classroom.

Objectives

By the end of this session, participants should feel confident with basic use of OneNote and be able to:

  • Understand the benefits of OneNote use in the classroom, being confident navigating and using OneNote, as well as setting up, organising and arranging notebooks for student and teacher use of OneNote as a productivity tool.
  • Understand how teachers and students can use OneNote as a collaborative tool – performing collaborative tasks like creating a OneNote notebook, adding a new location and sharing an existing notebook.
  • Creatively apply learning to how it will benefit students and teachers for specific classroom tasks, including creating interactive lessons using tools within OneNote.
  • Become familiar with OneNote best practices such as consistent use and practice, and continue the learning through a Professional Learning Community and additional resources.
