ONE PLANET PROGRAM TRAINING

One Planet Program Training provides an understanding of the One Planet Living international framework across multiple sectors. Recognised projects and organisations examples from around the world will be shared, with opportunity to discuss impacts and opportunities throughout the training.

You will be provided with the process and tools to enable the development of your own One Planet Action Plan, including a range of activities on the One Planet Analysis and One Planet Action Plan.

This course will challenge your vision and leadership, and question how you can you bring the best of your team and stakeholders to create a remarkable and successful transformation to one planet living.

One Planet Living is an international framework, with a universal vision, that is applied to the regional or local context. The framework is applicable across multiple sectors in order to develop a regional shared vision with individual and partner action plans. Sectors include: communities – mixed use residential developments and tourism accommodation, schools – from early learning centres to educational institutes, companies and organizations, and cities and regions - local and regional governments.

This training course is for:

Anyone wanting to understand the process for applying the One Planet Living framework including: communities, organisations, companies and government officers who will facilitate, inspire, engage or partner on One Planet Program process internally or in consultation with client partners.

Content

The course provides an overview of One Planet Living vision, ten principles and 'Goals and Guidance'. It covers the One Planet Program process including the One Planet Program Analysis and One Planet Action Plan.

Activities include:

  • developing context anlaysis and visioning for a One Planet Analysis

  • developing of outcomes, indicators, and timeframes for a One Planet Action Plan

  • developing strategies and actions, targets and measures for a One Planet Action Plan

Pre-training material will be provided by email one week prior to the event.

Please note: The One Planet Program Training is a prerequisite for the One Planet Integrator training.

Outcomes

On completion, course participants will have knowledge of the One Planet Living framework. Participants will understand the One Planet Analysis and Action Plan, and the reporting requirements as part of the national and international recognition.

Level of Knowledge / Skills Required

An understanding of the One Planet Living vision, ten principles, and ecological footprinting from the Bioregional website.

A sound knowledge of climate change impacts and causes is desirable. Some knowledge of gap and opportunity analysis and action planinng is useful.

Group Size

To maximise your learning, we keep class sizes small. Maximum class size is 16 people. We require a minimum class size of 5 people to proceed.

To consult as a One Planet Integrator globally, participants must complete the One Planet Program and:

  • Complete One Planet Integrator Training

  • Join the Australian Membership Network

  • Undertake an online interview

  • Register with the Bioregional Australia Faculty

Refunds

A full refund is available up to 30 days prior to the training day. A 50% refund is available up to 14 days prior to the training day.
