Yatra is a Sanskrit word meaning spiritual journey, path of life or pilgrimage. A yatra is a spiritual walking journey that offers a full emotional, intellectual and spiritual exploration that integrates the primordial rhythms of walking with the reflective power of silence. The yatra creates a state in which the mind and body align as nature takes us on a personal journey of self-discovery.
A yatra provides the opportunity to temporarily return to a purer way of life. On a yatra, participants experience the richness of being part of a community where everyone is valued equally.
Over the course of the Yatra we carry our intentions and questions into the wild and journey mainly in silence. We learn how to incorporate ‘living thinking’, creating new ways of experiencing and being the world. We practice and experience thinking with the living world rather than through our abstract concepts and theories.
There is much time throughout the day for conversation, personal meditation, Haiku and creative play with the natural form around us. Our time together becomes a combination of sharing and deep personal silent time that enables nature to weave us back into the web of wholeness and self knowing.
This quest will also be of benefit to your family and all those people you affect on a daily basis since as an authentic leader we need to work from a deep self-knowledge and wisdom beyond our cultural limitations and patterns of thinking. You will learn to naturally connect with yourselves, to the earth and each other and potentially take away a new spirituality.
The pace over the day is extremely gentle and suitable for all fitness levels.
