What drives our urge to survive?

About this Event

Why are we compelled for fight tooth-and-nail for our lives, and the lives of those we love? Why do we go to great lengths to hide secrets that may jeopardise our survival? Two of Australia's very best authors discuss this and more, as well as the themes that unite and divide their two very different but equally electric books.

THE BOOKS

The Mother Fault by Kate Mildenhall is set in the dystopic present, where Mim – mother, daughter, wife, sister – shucks her life to go in search of her missing husband save her children. Out 2 September.

The Survivors by Jane Harper is a standalone story, set on the Tasmanian coast. Kieran Elliott's life changed forever on a single day when a reckless mistake led to devastating consequences. Out 22 September.
