Join NTL for the official opening of 'A Territory Story', an exhibition surveying the people, places and events that shaped the Territory.

About this Event

Using the Northern Territory Library collection, A Territory Story delves into NT history through the lenses of ten themes including: Larrakia Country, Courage, Tracks and Mapping, All Aboard, Territory Made, Home, Check it out!, Territorians, Darwin and Territory Classics.

This event is also to thank the scores of people who have contributed their time and energy to this exhibition - from fact checkers and proof readers through to people who were part of the initial community consultations.

Official proceedings will commence at 5:45pm.

Cash bar available and light refreshments provided.

Northern Territory Library, Mayse Young Collection. The Smith brothers with Jim Bennett and Wally Shiers were the first to fly from England to Australia, landing at Fannie Bay on 10 December 1919.
