This course is designed to provide Level 1/2 support staff with the skills to support Office 365 at Macquarie University. Staff will learn about the various areas of supporting and troubleshooting users interactions with Office 365 in a three hour theory session.

 

 
Monday 21 November times:
  • 9.30am - 12.30pm
  • 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Skills Gained 

 

After completing the course attendees will be able to:

 

  • Create, Manage and Administer users by using the Office 365 Administration centre
  • View and Assign licenses by using the Office 365 Administration centre
  • Create, Manage and Administer Security and Distribution groups by using the Office 365 Administration centre
  • Administer Office 365 (manage administrators, configure and set password policies, enable and administer rights management to protect confidential documents)
  • Manage User-driven Client Deployments
  • Manage IT Deployments of Office 365 ProPlus


 

Target Audience

 

This course is intended for Faculty and IT Service Desk staff who will actively support, troubleshoot and resolve staff members O365 queries and issues.

 

 

Prerequisites 

 

Please look through the IT Support Training manual: https://truth.mq.edu.au/share/id/mqu2vk3h and familiarise yourself with the admin portal.
 
Professional experience as well as the following technical knowledge:

Knowledge:

  • Cloud-based service concepts
  • Overview of Office 365 and its component services
  • Active Directory Directory Service
  • TCP/IP network routing
  • Domain Name Services (DNS)

 

 Experience:

 

  • Using Windows PowerShell
  • Administering Office 365 with Office 365 Admin Centre
