Event description
Join us to better understand the nature of this issue and how we can improve our response to better support children and young people.

About this Event

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is leading an initiative aimed at the prevention and response to Occupational Violence and Aggression for out of Home Care Providers. It incorporates 'best practice' approaches to health, safety and wellbeing and builds practical expertise to address the casual factors which give rise to occupational violence and aggression.

This event is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and has been developed in consultation with out-of-home care providers.

This forum is for Executives, Senior Leaders, Regional Directors, Program Managers, OHS and HR Managers who manage employees within the child and family services sector. It provides a networking opportunity to discuss, share and learn from new and innovative approaches currently underway to improve health and safety and promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Our forum on Friday, 20 March 2020, will bring together sector leaders, OHS leaders, WorkSafe Victoria and DHHS stakeholders to better understand the nature of this issue and how we can improve our response to better support children and young people.
