The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and the K2W Glideways Program is proud to support Objectif Sciences International Stage 1 Training in Sydney, October 2017.

Successful completion of the course will enable you to:

  • Use the knowledge acquired in your environmental education work
  • Contribute to the preparation of OSI participatory research camps
  • Join the new Australian OSI group
  • Work with OSI directly as an educator

The training is designed for:

  • Teachers, Engineers, Researchers
  • Sciences Tutors and Counsellors involved in citizen science and participatory research projects
  • Sociocultural tutors and educators
  • Future participants in participatory research camps who wish to be more involved in the preparation of local camps, including parents of participating children
  • Candidates who have applied for a position within Objectif Sciences International.

About the course

Stage 1 training course caters for all professionals experienced in teaching and science education, as well as novices who may be interested in pursuing a career in the field of teaching, supervision or education.

The aim of the course is to make you competent and independent in the field of science education through OSI participatory research projects focussed on sustainable development and nature and the environment.

Led by OSI Executives familiar with putting OSI’s educational methods into practice, the course will introduce you to a new world of opportunities in terms of knowledge acquisition in accordance with the principles of the project pedagogy. It will give you the tools you need to work effectively as part of OSI and in your own environmental education work. Working with OSI standard topics, each course is tailored according to the expectations, desires and ambitions of local trainees.

Thanks to the FNPW and Glideways, the fee for the Stage 1 course is only 100,00 € (approx $150 AUD) (excluding accommodation and meals)
