Four Key O-Week Sessions

1. Library Resources Overview First 20 minutes of BIOH111 classes in first week
The sciences are naturally an important part of a Health Science degree. The expert Library staff will spend the first 15-20 minutes of each BIOH111 class taking students through the interactive anatomy databases available to them including Visible Body and Muscle Premium plus the Scientific and Medical Art Image base which provides images, videos, fact sheets and interactive materials. These are excellent tools to learn about the human body and assist with study and assessment items.

2. Must Know FAQs for New Students – Highly Recommended for New Students
These sessions is highly recommended for new students commencing study. Students will spend 30 minutes getting to know the essentials for settling into life at the College, including tips for balance and mindfulness in busy periods and strategies for successful study. The sessions are held between class breaks and are scheduled 2-3 times in week one of semester.

3. Course Specific Orientation – Compulsory for New Students

When starting a new course it makes sense to get to know the teaching staff, fellow students and looking ahead to the coming years of study. This session enables new students to meet campus faculty staff, learn more about their course (content and delivery) and meet other students studying in the same modality cohort. This session is for 30 minutes and is scheduled around week one timetabled classes.

4. A Meet Up By Students for Students – Most Popular Session
Welcome to Campus Life. Take 30 minutes out of your first week for a relaxed session hosted by the local campus manager with nibbles and a chance to meet new friends. Hear from a current student about their study journey with Endeavour including wins, challenges and things to look forward to.
