New Year's Eve at Afloat 2025/26 - Main Deck

This New Year's Eve, Afloat and Arbory Bar & Eatery are throwing an epic, all-inclusive party for the ages across the two riverside venues. There’ll be panoramic views of the fireworks, flowing drinks and roaming canapés, plus dazzling live entertainment and tunes by some of Melbourne’s best DJs.

An invitation to dance the year away, the all-night extravaganza will draw on Afloat's 2025-2026 thematic — Rio de Janeiro — and will be reminiscent of the larger-than-life spectacles hosted on Copacabana Beach. Known locally as the "Réveillon Party", New Year's Eve on Rio's iconic beach-front is one of the biggest celebrations in the world, attracting over 2 million people on one night.

Expect the cha-cha-cha of samba dancers and batucada drummers, Latin American tunes, and of course, an exclusive vantage of the City of Melbourne's fireworks display setting the skies ablaze.

As per Copacabana traditions, we invite guests to dress the part head-to-toe in white, for peace and prosperity in the year ahead.(Feathers, sequins, elaborate headdresses or any touches of colour and Carnival spirit are welcome too).

Afloat Beach Club Packages (SOLD OUT)

These bookings include reserved seating for your group in a dedicated riverside lounge or cabana, plus access to the VIP package of canapés, premium seafood canapés, house drinks (wine, beer, cider & spirits) and select cocktails & spritzes, from 8pm-12am. These tickets can be found here.

Additional information:

- Doors open at 6.00pm, with the event package kicking off at 8.00pm. Venue closes at 1.00am.

- All tickets and packages have a 4-hour duration, from 8pm-12am.

– All tickets incur an EventBrite booking fee (2%), plus a ticketing fee of $3.00 per ticket.

– This is a stand-up canapé event with tables available on a first come first serve basis. We recommend arriving early to secure a table.

– Most dietaries can be catered for, we ask that you please inform staff of any requirements on arrival.

– Afloat is an accessible venue with a variety of wheelchair and disability friendly dining options on the Main Deck. If you require an accessible event ticket, please reach out to our events & reservations team via hello@afloat.melbourne.

Refund & Cancellation Policy:

– Tickets can be cancelled and refunded no less than 7 days prior to the event start time, after which time refunds will not be available.

– Wait List: If your desired ticket is sold out, please join our waitlist for further updates. In the event that your desired ticket becomes available, we can refund any other tickets purchased up until 7 days prior to the event. To organise a refund, please follow the links in your ticket confirmation email as we do not accept refund requests via email, phone or in person.

Terms and Conditions:

– RSA: Afloat takes its responsible service of alcohol seriously. Please encourage your guests to drink responsibly as no refund can be offered if a guest is asked to leave due to intoxication or anti-social behaviour.

Please note - due to responsible service of alcohol obligations, shots are not available in any packages but can be purchased on the night. All spirits ordered within the package will be served with mixers added.

– This is an 18+ only event. Please ensure all guests are carrying valid proof of age.

– Afloat is an outdoor venue. While substantial umbrella cover is available, we suggest guests bring rain protection such as umbrellas or raincoats in the event of inclement weather.

– If the event needs to be modified or cancelled due to unforeseen or external extenuating circumstances, such as COVID-19 restrictions, full refunds will be issued.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you select the correct tickets (ie Arbory Bar & Eatery OR Afloat Main Deck OR Afloat Upper Deck) as once tickets for an area/venue are sold out, you will not be able to change them due to strict government guidelines on capacities.
