The focus of this course is to give researchers hands-on experience on developing and uses cases and case classifications, as well as an understanding of when and how they can be used.

Cases and case classifications are very useful when it comes to data analysis using NVivo, and particularly effective when doing queries, however they can be difficult to create and use. This course is tailored to researchers wanting to understand how to create, manage and use cases and case classifications effectively in NVivo.

Course content:

• Ways of creating cases in NVivo (on import, after import, spreadsheet)
• Adding case classifications
• Using case classifications for analysis through queries

Things to note:

- The sessions will be demonstrated in the Windows version of NVivo. There are differences between the Mac and Windows version.

- You will need to have basic NVivo skills in order to attend this course. You will need to know how to import and code data in NVivo.
