Event description

Description

I hope to support your continuous learning by facilitating Nuts and Bolts Workshops (the topics are determined by industry consultation). This is interactive professional development (not 'chalk and talk') focused on providing you with practical strategies ('nuts and bolts') and ongoing support to implement them. Please note that the participant numbers are limited to enable a person centred approach to be used in this intensive workshops. This topic is also available as supportive distance education.

Occupational violence can have significant short and long term impacts on a worker’s psychological and physical health. These can in turn have significant economic and social costs for workers, their family, their organisation and the wider community. The Nuts and Bolts Responding to Aggressive Behaviour Workshop aims to provide practical strategies in:
  • Recognising predicators and triggers of violence and aggression
  • Prevention and defusion measures
  • Intervening from individual and organisational health perspectives
  • Self awareness and boundaries
  • Debriefing and self care
