This short course will enable you to understand the basic concepts of how different foods affect adolescents – their moods, behaviour and choices in life. Topics covered include: Adolescence – the challenges; Puberty and growth; Sleep changes and insomnia and Increased nutritional needs during adolescence.
Di Strang is a nutritionist and Clinic Supervisor at Nature Care College, a product consultant for Bioceuticals and a regular speaker and presenter on current nutrition research . Di has a background not only in nutrition, but in education, marketing and product design and development.
Time: 9.45am registration, 10.00am start. 4.00pm finish
CPE: 5 CPE points (ATMS policy accrues 1 CPE point for each hour of approved educational time).
Who should attend? Naturopaths, body workers and counsellors interested in gaining an overview of adolescent nutritional needs and challenges.
Assumed knowledge: This is an introductory course however, working knowledge of anatomy and physiology is assumed.
Please bring: your lunch. Attendees could also bring writing materials or computer/Ipad.
