NSW Wines: Overlooked or Undiscovered?
Mon. 27 March 2017, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm AEDT
Join Sommeliers Australia as we explore ALL14 wine regions of New South Wales, each one geographically, climatically and viticulturally unique. This distinction produces great diversity in the terroir and wine, which when all combined, significantly differ from Victoria, South Australia – or Western Australia.
Vive la difference, mate!
The passion and experimentation of these region's new and old generation winemakers is producing an exciting and vibrant winescape.
The session will include a comprehensive tasting of the best and unusual from ALL 14 regions as well as a dedicated Masterclass, lead by an authoritative panel of NSW winemakers to look at specific regional varietal nuances, attributes and styles.
From internationally acclaimed iconic classics to new styles, varietals and blends - to funkier emerging directions, some of which re-calibrate the status quo, while others push the edge of the oenology envelope.
This will be a unique opportunity to experience the pulsing contemporary breadth and depth of wines from the Australian wine industry's state of origin.
The event will be held in Sydney's sparkling new International Convention Centre Sydney (ICCS), Darling Harbour.
