Description

SCRt CIWG | Demand Planning / Forecasting Masterclass - How Good is Your Crystal Ball?

Hosted by:

Cerebos

Demand planning is defined as “using forecasts and experience to estimate demand for various items at various points in the supply chain.” It has been said that, “demand planning is the most misunderstood-and most frustrating-of any supply chain planning application.” Understanding the demand for your products is perhaps one of the fundamentals of business success.

Understanding what influences, dictates, affects the demand for products allows for accurate forecasting for future demand.

Who is responsible for the forecasts, what are our products, where are they in their product lifecycle, what is their demand pattern, do we understand the variability/volatility seen in the marketplace, and who is providing the additional information required to ensure an appropriate forecast?

How accurate is your forecasting and ultimately your understanding of product demand? Come along and share your insights with other like minded professionals.
