NSW RTW Co-ordinator Course – Practical – 1 day course

This course is tailored for those who have already completed the SIRA online modules.  It is interactive and allows attendees to ask questions and learn in a classroom environment.  Key concepts from the online course will be reviewed with a very practical afternoon focussed on the use of examples and real life experiences to consolidate learning.  Align Work Health has designed the course specifically to assist RTW co-ordinators who are entering RTW co-ordination for the first time, resuming RTW co-ordination after an absence or are wanting to brush up on their basic skills.

By participating in this program course attendees will:

• Enhance their skills and knowledge of the management of workplace injuries including legislative requirements
• Identify and address barriers to RTW
• Identify suitable duties and assist workers to RTW as soon as possible
• Understand how best to effectively communicate with doctors, treating health practitioners and case managers
• Network with other RTW co-ordinators in the region
