States have also agreed to work towards the reduction and elimination of Restrictive Practices.

Purpose of the workshops
The session will cover:
• State Government requirements around authorisation of restrictive practices
• the changes to the definitions of restrictive practices in NSW
• an introduction to the NSW FACS RPA ICT system and the process for lodgement and management of submissions for authorisation
• the function of the Central Restrictive Practices Team.

Who should attend?
This information is for providers registered with the NDIS, operating in NSW and who are implementing behaviour support plans that may involve restrictive practices. It is also intended for behaviour support practitioners and specialists developing behaviour support plans which include restrictive practices.
