Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Where is the Forum held this year? The Beta Bar and Gallery is centrally located in the Sydney CBD. It is close to both Museum and Town Hall train stations, close to our site visits and close to a variety of affordable accommodation. See map enclosed in the Program.
How much are tickets this year? We are pleased to report our tickets are more affordable than 2018. After last year’s Heritage Act 40th Anniversary event we return to the 2-day forum format without a formal dinner. Please note, there is a booking fee and GST.
Will food and beverages be provided at the Forum? Yes, on both days. If you have any dietary needs, please ensure let us know by emailing: heritage.events@environment.nsw.gov.au Please view the Beta Bar sample menu here.
What is the best form of transport? We suggest public transport, however if you choose to drive the nearest parking stations are: Secure Parking 255 Elizabeth St (Entry via 242 Castlereagh St), Wilson Parking 227 Elizabeth St & 233 Castlereagh St, and City of Sydney Parking 101 Goulburn St. Please check websites for bookings and costs.
How many site visits will there be? On Day 1, there are two concurrent options: Sydney Hospital and the Anzac Memorial. We would ideally like the number of participants to be 50% for each site.
Are there any requirements for the site visits? For those attending Sydney Hospital, the Public Works Advisory folk have requested that you bring appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) gear (this includes a hard hat, high vis and appropriate footwear). PPE is not required for the Anzac Memorial. Please note: we will be vacating the venue when going on the site visits so you must take all your belongings with you.
Are there any networking opportunities after the event? As well as networking during the breaks, we also encourage you to join us for an informal drink after the site visit at a venue to be announced.
Who can I speak to if I have further questions during the event? An important element of this year’s forum will be an information and enquiry stall staffed by officers of Heritage NSW during the morning and lunchtime breaks. Please come say hi to us, meet the people behind the correspondence and bring your queries.
