Our second industry forum for 2019 will focus on translating research into the health system.

What you will learn:

  • Professor Jon Iredell, Research Group Leader - Critical Infection / BARRD Group at The Westmead Institute, will profile some of the Institute’s research projects and highlight from a practical perspective how researchers should apply a translation lens to their projects.

  • Dr Laura Collie, Medical Advisor, Office for Health and Medical Research, will present case studies of research projects that have been successfully implemented into policy or practice in NSW, highlighting the key elements to their success.
  • Prajni Sadananda, Business Development & Strategy Manager at Medtronic ANZ, will talk about important factors for the success of research collaborations between industry and the health system, and how best to establish these partnerships.
