Event description

Description

You are invited to our Twilight Seminar presented by AIB and Bannermans Lawyers

Sydney's search for affordable housing has led to the government adopting a 'Singapore model' for strata development.

Legislation will allow developers to buy out existing strata schemes where 75% of owners agree to a collective sale.

With strata firmly established as the major component of the residential market, this new development is highly relevant to the construction industry, and the work available in the years ahead.

This presentation will outline the collective sales scheme, its processes and safe guards, and consider the implications for builders and developers alike.

David Bannerman, Principal of Bannermans Lawyers, Sydney's leading Strata Law Firm and a Director of Strata Community Australia (SCA) NSW

Helen Kowal, Special Counsel of Bannermans Lawyers working in the Construction and Strata Teams and heading up the Strata Renewal Team since the commencement of the new provisions.

Wal Dobrow, highly experienced in the Land and Environment Court, expert in the presentation of valuation evidence and compensation within the new Strata Reform using the Collective Sale and the Redevelopment processes.
