The South East Natural Resource Management Board would like to invite community members to the Subregional Community Forums being held in each subregion in May 2018 to identify which subregional actions from each plan will be implemented in the next 1-3 years, and which individuals, groups, landholders and /or organisations will partner with the Board to implement them at the Sub regional level.

Where we are up to with the subregional planning process:

Four Subregional NRM Plans (Mallee Woodlands, Ranges and Cross-border Creeks, Dunes and Flats, Volcanic Plains and Southern Dunes) for our region have been finalised and adopted by the SE NRM Board, following community consultation late last year

The Subregional NRM Plans identify local priorities and set out an action plan that can be used by a range of organisations and groups working in NRM. The Subregional NRM Plans also inform the Regional NRM Plan. In preparing the Subregional NRM Plans we sought to understand what the community values about NRM in each subregion and what drives and threatens our landscapes. This information was gathered through surveys, meetings and forums, and then brought together into community workshops in mid-2017 where we discussed the future of our landscapes and what actions are needed

The key actions have been prioritised by the community for three landscape types: primary production, natural and urban landscapes

The final Subregional NRM Plans are available on the NRSE website or on request
