The Listening Lounge Mental Health Peer Support Group - Fremantle
Listening Lounge mental health peer support groups are a safe, supportive space to connect with others who’ve gone through mental health struggles of their own. The group follows a semi-flexible structure and is co-facilitated by two trained peer workers with lived experience themselves.
About:
- Free
- 2hr groups
- Adults all ages
- For people experiencing mental health challenges
- Come along as you are - no referral needed
- Accessibility prioritised
- Facilitated by trained peers
This new Fremantle group will be collobarating with the step-up-step-down residential support service at Hampton House in order to be able to hold group in a safe and supportive place with access to couches, pretty artwork on the walls, good lighting, tea and coffee and so the group can be available to both residents and outside visitors. As this is an operating clinical space though some adjustments need to made for those visiting outside of Hampton house:
You must pre-register at least 2 hours prior to group so that way the staff at Hampton House know who will be attending either on eventbrite or by texting us at 0485 874 978 or emailing listeninglounge@comhwa.org.au. So you can't just show-up on the day like our other groups.
On the morning of the group I will email you more info about how to get there, find the entrance etc and send you a text to confirm if you can make it.
We also ask that if you change your mind about attending that you de-register as soon as you know to make a spot for someone else as places are limited.
Thankyou! :)
