Event description

Description

The internet has become the ideal realm for global mass surveillance. Without even being aware of it, you reveal sensitive information on your private life everytime you surf on the web or use your favourite applications. We're meeting up to discuss how to protect our privacy against commercial and political exploitation in a digital world.

7:00 pm - Registration and welcome drinks
7:30 pm - Screening of the documentary: Nothing to hide
9:30 opm - Discussion and Q&A

Tickets are at 5 EUR to offset the costs of drinks and snacks.

The Viewing Room is located in the basement of the British Council building, behind the ULIP badge access door and to the left.

Why should you care if you have nothing to hide? Nothing against having your personal data monetised in exchange of access to free tools? The recent Cambridge-Analytica scandal has shed light on how millions of users have been betrayed.

This event is organised in collaboration with Outils-Conviviaux, an associative web host that provides free online tools with improved privacy. With thanks to the British Council for hosting our event in their screening room.
