Northside Conversations with David Gillespie: Being Qualified to Write
Sun. 16 October 2016, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm AEST
Being qualified to write
David Gillespie is a lawyer and best-selling author of 8 books, including Sweet Poison (a hard look at the role of sugar), Toxic Oil (an exposé of everyday food oils) and Free Schools (an investigation into private vs public schools). He’s no stranger to the challenges of writing hard-hitting books about topics where he lacks formal qualifications. His forthcoming book will examine the role of psychopaths in the workplace and home.
Join David for a conversation about being taken seriously as a lawyer who likes to tread on the toes of other professionals, being qualified to write, popularising complex topics, and the citizen’s right to know. David’s books will be on sale at the event.
