The Nigerian Community in Newcastle and the Hunter Region cordially invites you to the 3rd Nigerian Day celebration in Newcastle. This is an annual event to commemorate Nigeria's official independence from the British on 1st October 1960.
We are expecting our representatives at the local, state and federal levels to grace the occasion, and also from the Nigerian High Commission in Canberra who will be speaking to us on the day. Other activities of the day would include a brief showcase of different traditional Nigerian attires from some of the ethnic groups.
There will be an array of assorted and staple Nigerian foods from different ethnic groups that make up the Nigeria nation.
Please feel free to invite friends from far and near to enjoy this day together, and kindly RSVP.
