Program Name:

Nick Nack Knitters - Knitting and Crafts Group

Program Category:

The Creative Arts

Program Description:

This program is a place to unleash your creative side over a cuppa with friends; this program is about social inclusion and a place for you to network, build friendships and receive valuable information relevant to your interests and needs in a safe and engaging environment.

As part of Nick Nack Knitters, you will work on a variety of craft based activities (predominately knitting), enjoy a laugh and conversation with friends. Additionally, from time to time you may participate in a range of talks by professionals within the community on topics specific to the needs and interest of participants. This program is participant driven meaning it aims to respond to the requirements and interests of participants.

This program has been linked with Cumberland Council’s Peacock Gallery and as such, participants also have an opportunity to contribute to local art projects (should you choose to participate).

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided as part of a light morning tea to all participants. Members of the group will often bake and share treats amongst the members should they choose.

Materials are initially supplied to new beginners. However, it si expected that once members become familiar with the program and the projects they would like to work on that they begin to supply their own materials.

Please feel free to join us, bring your friends and join in as part of this ‘close-knit’ group.

Cost Per Term:
