The new online Road Manager Module, the second phase of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Portal is now being released to Road Managers upon readiness completion.

We are holding training in various locations throughout Australia in November 2017 to train Road Managers to migrate from the NHVR Portal - Forms to the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module full functionality. We have limited capacity in these sessions because we are providing computers for Road Managers to learn in the Portal environment.

Due to the limited capacity, one person per organisation is recommended to attend and this training is exclusive to official Road Managers registered with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

Why Attend NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module Essentials Training?

If you have attended an Activation session previously, we recommend you will find still this training valuable as it is designed to train road managers in the functionality of the NHVR Portal.

After attending, Road Managers will be trained in processing of consent requests and prepare for the transition from the Portal Forms to the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Moduel (full functionality).

What to Expect in Essentials Training:

  • Hands on and designed with small classes with about 10-20 participants (1 person per organisation)

  • Road Managers will be trained on a computer in the NHVR Portal environment by one of our trainers

  • Light lunch is provided

  • Computers are provided

Road Manager Essentials Training agenda includes:

  1. Introduction to the NHVR Portal (15 minutes)

  2. NHVR Portal Overview (20 minutes)

  3. NHVR Portal Configuration Functionality (45 minutes)

  4. Case Management (90 minutes)

  5. Support and Readiness (20 minutes)

There are two, short scheduled breaks and a light lunch provided during the 4 hour training session. Please consider arriving 15 minutes before the start.

Steps to Complete Prior to the Essentials Training Course

After attending the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Essentials Training, when you are ready your organisation will be migrated to the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module full functionality. It is important to complete the following activities before attending the course.

Step One:

Download the 3 attachments under "Downloads" on website.

Step Two:

Prepare and Complete "Workflow Options" (see "Downloads" )

Step Three:

Prepare and Complete "Account Configuration Planning Table" (see "Downloads" ) and upload when you complete Step Four (see below) or email .

Step Four:

Complete Readiness Survey to see if you are ready to migrate to the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module full functionality from Portal Forms.

What is the NHVR Portal?

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Portal is an online solution to prepare, lodge and track permit applications.Co-designed with industry and Road Managers, the Customer module was released in August 2016 and has since processed nearly 20,000 permits helping industry in Australia. The NHVR Portal - Forms was released to Road Managers across Australia in October 2017. Road Managers are now transitioning to the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module full fuctionality.

What are the benefits of the NHVR Portal for Road Managers?

  • Streamlines information flow between road managers, road users and NVHR

  • Provides the ability to track the progress of the application and view all requests for consent in one area

  • Streamlines the management of permit conditions

  • Displays the information included in an application in a user friendly format.

Activation Sessions

Earlier this year, we held over 15 Activation sessions (including two online activation webinars) in various locations around Australia with over 460 Road Managers to provide more information about the upcoming changes, and help Road Managers get prepared.

We have held two webinars with over 200 Road Managers registering from all over Australia and 150+ connections online during the webinars (some had more than one Road Manager viewing).
