Event description

Description

NGO Mental Health Lived Experience (Peer) Work Community of Practice

The Lived Experience Workforce Program - LEWP - has been funded to support the NGO mental health sector in effectively recruiting, supporting and developing its Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce.

The LEWP Reference Group has co-designed a Community of Practice in response to needs identified by members of the NGO Lived Experience Workforce. The Community of Practice is specifically aimed at consumers and carers who are employed in paid, designated mental health Lived Experience (Peer Work) positions within the NGO sector.

The purpose of a Community of Practice is for members to share with each other in order to develop skills and knowledge, based on Peer Work-specific best practice, which members can apply to their work practice.

All group participants will be responsible for the running of the Community of Practice. Everyone who registers must commit to attending on the day and be prepared to adhere to the Terms of Reference as co-designed by the LEWP Reference Group: https://www.mhcsa.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/LEWP-NGO-LEW-CoP-ToR-091118.pdf
