During these COVID-19 times, it is a greater challenge to be connected, especially for those who have visited us for the first time during this period. With this in mind, we will be having a newcomers lunch on 28th February at Ryans Road to provide an opportunity for us as a church to get connected with those who have visited us in the past 3 months and to give an opportunity for us as a church to present our vision and answer any questions they may have.

There are 2 different time slots to choose from with exactly the same program, so feel free to pick the one that suits you best. This event registration is for the 11am to 12.30pm event.

If you are someone who has visited us in the past 3 months, please do come along for this lunch!

If you know someone who has visited us for the past 3 months, please do let them know and invite them to come. Perhaps you could even come along with them!

Registration is required to attend this lunch.

To assist with contact tracing and event management, ALL attendees of this event must register through Eventbrite. This includes ALL children you intend to bring to this lunch.

We require ALL attendees to provide their contact details during registration. We reserve the right to cancel your order if contact details for all registered attendees are not provided in time. We will also have to turn you away if we are fully booked and you show up unregistered.

What to do when you arrive.

We ask that you arrive up to 10-15 minutes earlier (10:45am) to check-in and meet some of our regular SLE staff and attendees. Please only enter through the marked entry gate along Ryans Road. Our hosts will check you in upon entry.

We strongly encourage all attendees to practice good hygiene AND maintain 1.5m distance between people during the event.

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and call 13 HEALTH. Our hosts will lovingly ask for you to leave the premises if you are displaying any COVID symptoms upon arrival.

Important health and safety information.

Please note that to ensure public safety, several COVID-Safe measures will be in place during service. These measures are per the Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Industry Plan for Places of Worship in Queensland - Stage 3 and also include a required registration process, safeguarding the ability to contact trace if required and manage crowd numbers.

In addition, a number of proactive methods have been implemented to ensure attendee wellbeing during the service, including:

• On-ground hygiene stations, with regular use encouraged
• Imposed social distancing of 1.5m between persons (except if within the same household)
• Cleaning measures are in place that is in line with the COVID Safe Industry Plan for Places of Worship in Queensland

When visiting SLE Church, please make sure you observe the guidelines set out by Queensland Health and do not attend events if any of the below are applicable:

• You or your attending household member(s) are displaying COVID-19 symptoms- these include a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath, and feeling unwell
• You or your attending household member(s) tested positive for COVID-19
• You or your attending household member(s) have been to the same places and at the same time as the recent positive case
• You or your attending household member(s) have travelled overseas or within Australia to a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the previous 14 days

Per Queensland Government guidelines, SLE Church retain the right to refuse attendees from the event if they are displaying COVID-like symptoms. If you or your attending household member(s) begin to feel unwell at our event please speak to on-ground host / inform host and leave immediately.

If you suspect you have COVID symptoms after attending our event, please get tested and isolate yourself until you receive your results. Please also contact us at info@sle.church to inform us too.
