Newcastle Seaside Scavenge
Date and time
Trade your trash for funky threads, books and more whilst groovin’ to live tunes at the Newcastle Seaside Scavenge
About this event
Hey Newy folks! This summer, Seaside Scavenge will be making its way to YOU for a day of eco-education, live music, op-shopping, waste wise workshops and much more! ☀️ 🌊
We haven’t visited Newcastle since 2016 so we are SUPER excited to re-ignite the Scavenge magic with you! At a Scavenge, for every ten pieces of litter that you collect and sort, you are rewarded with one trash token to use at our pop-up market of pre-loved clothes, books, toys and more! PLUS the event will be filled with live music, talks from local eco-change makers, hot tips and tricks on how to live more sustainably and even a plastic, micro-recycling demo. Learn how to close the loop on waste all whilst caring for our oceans and meeting awesome new people. What more could you want? 💚
Oh, and one more thing. The day will be sponsored by some local legends, meaning your litter haul might even land you a sweet prize.
This event is made possible by the City of Newcastle’s Community Support Grants program and a part of the City of Newscastle Coastal Program. Whoo hoo!
To join, register through the Eventbrite link.
Looking forward to scavenging with ya.
And as always, if you feel sick or unwell, please stay home. 🤒
