SESSION OVERVIEW

Social media can help achieve a lot of different things, but in order to get results, to have a well thought out social media strategy. Join us for this half day session and where you will leave with lots of new knowledge and a social media strategy template which you will work on live on the day, and can continue populating at home.

TOPICS COVERED IN THIS SESSION:

  • Introduction to our proprietary ‘Social Media Success Wheel’ diagram outlining the 7 key steps you should follow to get started and succeed on social media

  • Defining your objectives – we will go through the most common objectives and help you gain clarity on which ones will best suit your situation based on how long you have been in business, how long you have been on social, who your target market is and what your budget is.

  • Defining your target market – With millions of users on each of the social networks, it's totally possible to identify AND target your ideal audience on social media. However in order to do so, you'll first need to be super clear on WHO your ideal target audience is. We’ll introduce you to how to locate your existing audience on Facebook + Instagram as well as introduce you to Facebook's little known but extremely powerful Facebook Audience Insights Tool and help you identify new audiences as part of your strategy.

  • Tools - There are a plethora of social media tools out there which can help you save time when it comes to doing social media on your phone, whether that is preparing, scheduling, monitoring or managing your social media channels, making creative content or running advertisements. We’ll introduce you to our 'can't live without social media tools including many free and some paid which we believe are worth the subscription. For each tool we introduce you to we'll explain what it is, why you need it, how to get it and a brief overview of its best functions.

  • Defining your brand voice & brand style – Ever wondered how some people's social media content and ads just seem to 'cut through' and be consistent, professional and professional? It's more than likely these brands and businesses have taken the time to consider their brand voice which is doing some soul searching on who they are, what their brand values are, who their target audience is and therefore what their brand voice or way they talk should be. A brand voice also encompasses what topics you talk about (and it shouldn't always be only about your industry or directly what you do), and who you collaborate with. We'll help you define your brand voice and brand style which will help your social media activity lift to the next level of professional look & feel.

  • Getting your Structure right - Getting your social media structure right is key to your social media success, yet many people don't understand the difference between profiles, pages and groups and get the fundamentals wrong. We’ll go through best practice in terms of structure including what to do if you have multiple pages or the wrong structure.

  • Creating Content - We'll introduce you to our top tricks to help you quickly and easily come up with a swag of suitable content including our incredibly powerful 30/30/30/10 rule which has helped hundreds of businesses to diversify their social media.

Note - if you would like spend more time on learning about Content Strategy & Content Production, stay on for our afternoon session on Content Creation at an additional cost, or sign up for both and save!

  • Analyse, report & improve - We finish the session by linking back to the objectives you defined at the start of the session, and help you define what metrics you will commit to regularly measuring to collate it into a report to share with your boss or team and improve from.
