New treatments for type 2 diabetes to decrease the risk of heart disease and prolong life.
Presented by Professor Michael Nauck
In this lecture, Professor Nauck will discuss his research pertaining to the type 2 diabetes research and treatments he has developed over the last 25 years.
Professor Nauck recognised the potential of the hormone GLP-1 for treating patients with type 2 diabetes, and has been able to help millions of people with type 2 diabetes world-wide by reducing their risk of heart disease and other metabolic conditions.
He is currently the Head of Clinical Research at the Diabetes Division, Medical Department I, St. Josef-Hospital (Ruhr-University Bochum) in Bochum, Germany.
