About this event
Join us on May 29th for a day of complete nourishment, creativity & self care. Through art & yoga this is the perfect opportunity to tend to your garden, your inner life, and take some time just for you.
Falling on the new moon, which marks the beginning of the new lunar cycle and often brings with it an array of new beginnings, it is ideal time for setting intentions, taking the time to slow down, reset especially as we move into the cooler more reflective months.
The retreat will be held in the heart of Mona Vale, with proximity to the ocean, local restaurants and beautiful headlands. Both the dedicated artist studio @littlesun.studio & seperate dedicated yoga studio @soham.i.am.that which are contained within the same beautiful original weatherboard cottage. A true urban oasis which can be easily accessed and enjoyed by all.
All are welcome from beginners to more experienced Yogi’s & Creatives & group sizes are kept small as it is important to us that all feel fully nourished.
Bookings essential and are limited to 10 people.
OUTLINE OF THE DAY //
Ceramics Workshop
Part of the day will consist of a fully instructed 2hr hand building with clay workshop where you will be making your own set of incense holders / small ritual bowls. This is a chance to deepen your connection to your creative life, to slow down and set intentions. Your piece also serves as a physical reminder / symbol of the ritualistic act of taking a moment for yourself in whatever form that serves you best. Each piece will be delightful in all its uniqueness and will be lovingly glazed & fired.
Vinyasa Flow & Restorative Yin
During the course of the day there will be two yoga sessions. Beginning with a vinyasa flow class (suitable for all levels, even beginners) you will connect, through a targeted practice, to the feminine energy within your bodies, your shakti. This connection will ignite your creativity, readying you for your creative workshop.
After a delicious wholesome lunch, prepared with love to nourish your body you will return to your mat for a restorative yin session. Slowing down, this deeply relaxing practice will invite in an opportunity to reflect, to breath and to connect with your soul, tapping into your inner most feelings. This session encourages you to release stuck energy as you slowly and gently open up your body.
