Event description
Join journalist, broadcaster and tech geek Marc Fennell and producer Claire Aird for the real story behind Japan’s lonely generation.

About this Event

In Japan, almost half of single men and women under 35 are virgins. Birth rates are crashing. Award-winning journalist, broadcaster and tech geek Marc Fennell and producer Claire Aird travelled to Tokyo to get the real story behind the population crisis.

Is there a correlation between overwork, loneliness, dating games and ‘dying for company’? After a screening of their 30 minute doco, Marc and Claire unpack the research on this overworked and undersexed generation. Their findings are alarming, and not limited to Japan.

The event includes a Q&A and in conversation session with creator of the podcast The Future of Sex Bryony Cole.
