Event description

Description

Learn how Neurofeedback Therapy and Neuromodulation can be applied to treat children and young people living with developmental trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The presentation is an opportunity for professionals in the field of Child Protection and Youth Mental Health to gain practical an theoretical knowledge and learn about the new technology of Neuromodulation.

Professionals will be able to experience Neurofeedback themselves. Volunteers will have sensors fixed onto their heads while watching their brain wave activity on a computer screen. Whilst wired up, participants will be able to familiarise themselves with the process and the feel of a Neurofeedback session.

Presented by Nerida Saunders and Professor Bulent Turman, the presentation will provide evidence of Neurofeedback efficacy, in the hope that this trauma therapy will be made accessible to the young people who struggle to integrate their childhood trauma through conventional therapies, to help fast-track healing.
