Dr Greg Thomas, Assistant State Manager - R&D Tax Incentive WA
Greg joined AusIndustry in August 2011 where he is manager of the R&D Tax Incentive Team. He has over 30 years’ experience in R&D and senior management, working both in the academic and private sectors. Greg has worked mainly in the life science and biotechnology industries, as a scientist and in senior management. This has involved working in several prestigious Medical Research Institutes in Melbourne, London, Edinburgh and Auckland.
Before joining AusIndustry Greg was the Chief Executive Officer of Alzhyme Pty Ltd, an early stage biotechnology company spinout of UWA, conducting R&D into the treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Greg has a PhD in Reproductive Biology from the University of Western Australia and has published over 55 papers, two book chapters and 60 abstracts and is an inventor on two patents.

Whipper Snapper Distillery is Perth's first urban distillery crafting premium whiskey from 100% local WA grains. Handcrafted from grain to bottle in East Perth, visit the distillery to experience guided tours and tasting, running 7 days a week.
Al is founder of the Whipper Snapper obsession, leads the business and sales operations, and is obsessed with converting all drinkers to whisky lovers one at a time.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Paid street parking is available on Hay Street (1hr), Havelock Street (3hrs), Parliament Place (3hrs) and Harvest Terrace (3hrs). If you prefer, you can park in the city and catch the Red CAT bus to the Parliament named stop. Our office is less than 50m from this stop.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
We are happy for you to pass your ticket on to someone else if you can't make it at the last minute, we just ask that you email us the new attendee name(s) so we can update our registration list.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
There is no need to bring your printed ticket along, there will be registration list upon entry and all you need to do is find your name and place a tick next to it so we know that you have arrived.
