This event is only as great as the people who attend, everytime I hold this event it seems to grow in statue. The positive feedback I get and the difference it makes in terms of helping people from all walks of life is what makes organising this worthwhile. This event is unique in that it allows those who participate to connect and express opinions when it comes to business and work.
To help make this event interesting and connect I ask that everyone brings along a small item that they would like to swap, sell or gift, donate. You can look at swapping books or bottles of wine the item does not matter it is how you make decisions and negotiate that matters specially when it comes to doing business this is called what you bring to the table I took this expression and made it literal to see how it could work in a group environment and as a rapport building exercise.
The main skills that we encourage at the event is collaboration and adaptability since these are the skills that will help us survive in business. These events help people working on these skills by sharing stories and offering advice and ideas to adapt to the fast moving pace of the business super highway.
Take time to stop observe and find better ways to get to our destination why not even car pool to save money and make the trip less lonely.
In organising these events I am building my skills in leadership, delegation, events management, encourage and adapting to feedback, in the months that I have put these events on I have learned valuable lessons and met amazing people. I encourage other people to follow my lead and build more connections.
