Network for Emerging Women End of Year Lunch - with Senior Women's Group
Event Information
About this Event
Please join us to celebrate a very successful first year at Western for the Network for Emerging Women. In the spirit of promoting inclusivity and a culture of support, we will be hosting a joint end-of-year lunch with Western's Senior Women's Group this November.
The theme of this event is well-being and balance. This topic is of particular importance as we head into a busy time where our attention can often focus on those around us. While this is a wonderful aspect of the end of the year, we also need to be mindful of taking care of ourselves during this period so we can continue to be at our best.
Our guest speaker will be Dr Padmini Howpage, Director of Psychiatry Services at Mind Connections, Founder of the Positive Vibes Foundation, and Winner of WSU's Woman of the West (Community) Award last year. Padmini will share her career and community development story, and will also give us some tips on how to find balance in an increasingly demanding world.
In session, we will also be doing some work to identify how members of the Network for Emerging Women and the Senior Women's Group would like to see their activities develop over the coming year, both as separate groups and (potentially) in greater collaboration.
