Description

Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher Candidate Workshop

As a current applicant for Highly Accomplished or Lead teacher Accreditation, you are invited to attend a free, full-day workshop being held by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

What’s it about?

Through individual reflection and collaborative activities, you will:

  • analyse the Standard Descriptors
  • articulate your teaching practice and its impact on others
  • engage with NESA support materials to critically evaluate the most relevant sources of evidence to include in your application.

Why attend?

This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • utilise a framework to reflect on and evaluate how your teaching practice aligns with the Standard Descriptors
  • be guided through NESA support materials
  • explore examples and learn strategies to guide your selection of evidence, composition of annotations and the ethical preparation and support of your Referees
  • gain insight into and prepare for your External Observation
  • understand how your application will be assessed and the role of the Teacher Accreditation Authority - Accomplished/Lead (TAA A/L) and the Moderating and Consistency Committee (MCC)
  • engage in professional dialogue with other applicants about your teaching practice and application.
