NECTAR Annual Retreat 2017
Event Information
Description
NECTAR, the Network for Early Career Teachers, Academics and Researchers of The Australian National University, is proud to present:
NECTAR Retreat 2017
The annual NECTAR Retreat is where Early Career Teachers, Academics and Researchers of ANU get together to build cross-campus connections. It’s an opportunity to reflect on their unique challenges, in direct and collegiate discussion with the university executive and key stakeholders.
This year’s NECTAR Retreat is themed: ‘Strategic Directions’. Events on the program include a discussion of navigating from PhD to Mid-Career Success with Professor Joanne Tompkins, ARC’s HCA Executive Director, and Professor Graham Durant, Director of Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre.
Participate in a round table with ANU's top three executives: Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Margaret Harding, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research); and Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). We aim to take this opportunity to discuss how ANU’s Strategic Plan 2017-2021 will affect Early Career Academics of ANU, and how in turn NECTAR can support this plan and help lead ANU to a successful future.
The full program will be available on NECTAR’s website soon.
What is NECTAR?
