Working with Support Workers
Our Working with Support Workers workshop is being provided to empower you to identify your personal values influencing your
selection of a support worker, how to go about finding a suitable
support worker, and the importance of personal and professional boundaries within a respectful working relationship. This workshop
will also give you an opportunity to ask further questions and meet
other NDIS participants/carers.
Topics for discussion include:
- Your personal values: What values are most important to you?
- What constitutes a respectful relationship?
- Developing a professional relationship in a personal space
- Engaging support workers
- Defining active support. What is it?
- Next steps
