Job Centre Australia Choice and Control is a registered NDIS provider. We'd like to invite you to join us for our upcoming sample program!

The aim of the sample program
Leaving school can be an uncertain time with lots of options moving into post school life. Job Centre Australia Choice & Control welcomes you to try out our School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), Increased Social & Community Participation and Improved Daily Living sample program to further assist you with your options for when you leave school.

Sample program dates (Term 3):

  • Wednesday 9 August – Budgeting & Money Skills
  • Wednesday 16 August – Work Skills & Job Searching
  • Wednesday 23 August – Independent Living Skills
  • Wednesday 30 August – Personal Development
  • Wednesday 6 September – Industry Training & Work Skills
  • Wednesday 13 September – Social Fun Day: Laser Tag & BBQ

Sample program dates (Term 4):

  • Wednesday 25 October – Independent Living Skills
  • Wednesday 1 November – Work Skills
  • Wednesday 8 November – Budgeting & Money Skills
  • Wednesday 15 November – Personal Development
  • Wednesday 22 November – Work Readiness & Interviews
  • Wednesday 29 November – Social Fun Day: Swimming Pool

Time: All sample programs run from 9:30am to 2pm.

Location: Choice & Control (Young), 2A Campbell St, Young NSW 2594

Participants: Please wear enclosed shoes, comfortable clothes & bring your lunch, a snack, drink bottle and hat to each sample day.

What is SLES?
SLES focusses on supporting Year 12 school leavers who are eligible NDIS participants to gain the skills required to transition into employment. School leavers will benefit from a person-centered approach, enabling choice on a combination of individual, social and employment activities all geared around working towards an employment outcome for the individual.

What is Increased Social and Community Participation?
This support is your opportunity to develop new friendships, join us for group activities and social outings, build your confidence in a social setting and most of all – have fun!

What is Improved Daily Living?
This support is designed to assist you to gain the skills to live a more independent life and participate in your community with more confidence. Our sample program will provide you the opportunity to learn new skills whilst having fun and making new friends.
