Job Centre Australia Choice and Control is a registered NDIS provider. We'd like to invite you to join us for our upcoming sample program!

The aim of the sample program

Leaving school can be an uncertain time with lots of options moving into post school life. Job Centre Australia Choice & Control welcomes you to try out our School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), Increased Social & Community Participation and Improved Daily Living sample program to further assist you with your options for when you leave school.

Sample Program Dates

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

Time: 10am to 1pm

  • Monday 24th July, 2017 – Professional Presentation in the Workplace
  • Monday 31st July, 2017 – Employability Skills
  • Monday 7th August, 2017 – Industry Training & Job Interviews
  • Monday 14th August, 2017 – Workplace Skills-in-Action


Community, Social & Recreational Activities

Time: *9am to 3pm
*Friday 24th November – please be ready to leave the office at 8am.

  • Friday 15th September, 2017 – Welcome BBQ – bring a plate
  • Friday 13th October, 2017 – Laserblast
  • Friday 27th October, 2017 – Archery Tag & Swimming
  • Friday 10th November, 2017 – Bubble Soccer
  • Friday 24th November, 2017 – Strike Bowling
  • Friday 8th December, 2017 – Toowoon Bay Christmas Party


Improved Daily Living Skills

Time: 10am to 1pm

  • Tuesday 22nd August, 2017 – Budgeting Skills
  • Tuesday 29th August, 2017 – Household Basics
  • Tuesday 5th September, 2017 – Healthy Cooking
  • Tuesday 12th September, 2017 – Communication & Assertiveness

What is SLES?

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) focuses on supporting Year 12 school leavers who are eligible NDIS participants to gain the skills required to transition into employment. School leavers will benefit from a person-centered approach, enabling choice on a combination of individual, social and employment activities all geared around working towards an employment outcome for the individual.


What is Increased Social Participation?

Increased Social and Community Participation is your opportunity to develop new friendships, join us for group activities and social outings, build your confidence in a social setting and most of all – have fun! Come along to our Social sample program and meet our participants and staff, and join in on the fun.


What is Improved Daily Living?

The Improved Daily Living support is designed to assist you to gain the skills to live a more independent life and participate in your community with more confidence. Our sample program will provide you the opportunity to learn new skills whilst having fun and making new friends.
