Description

NDIS Access and Psychosocial Disability Forum

The NDIA will be running Mental Health Access forums for health professionals, clinicians and service providers.

The purpose of the sessions will be to provide better education and training around Psychosocial Disability and the interface with the NDIS. It will better assist and support front facing staff to share consistent national perspective mental health information with potential participants, their families and natural support systems, as well as within already established service systems.

These sessions are targeted towards:

  • External frontline staff informing potential participants, their families and natural support systems about the NDIS

  • Health, Mental Health and Primary Care sectors - to become educators around consistent information about Psychosocial Disability and the NDIS

  • Local PHNs, LACs and local Mental Health Services under Hospital and Health Services

These sessions will be delivered by Katie Townrow, Assistant Director of Community and Mainstream Engagement, Queensland.

Who should attend?

Health professionals, clinicians, service providers and anyone who wishes to learn more about the mental health space within the NDIS.

Accessibility is important to us. Do you have any accessibility, interpreter or other requirements?
**Please note - we require a minimum of five (5) days' notice to book AUSLAN interpreters.**

If you have any questions regarding the specifics of this session, please contact us at community.engagement.qld@ndis.gov.au.
