Event description

Description

The NDIA would like to invite registered providers of funded support coordination to attend a forum which will provide an understanding of mainstream services’ responsibilities.

The workshop will be co-presented by the Stakeholder Relations team and NSW Dept Justice, including representatives from Trustee & Guardian and Juvenile Justice.

This workshop will cover:

  • Mainstream services - their responsibilities and how and when to connect participants with them
  • Overview of NSW Mainstream Interface Operational Guidance document
  • Exploring the NSW justice system including the justice health network
  • Tips on how to work with a person with disability in contact with the justice system

RSVPs are essential. It would be appreciated if providers can limit attendance of staff due to limited capacity of venue. It is important to remember that the purpose of the workshop is to enhance but not replace your internal staff training and development and it is expected that your nominated staff will transfer their learnings to their work colleagues.

Light refreshments will be available. Please notify of any dietary requirements and inform us if you have any accessibility, interpreting or special requirements.
