Event description

Description

We made the NDIS real. Now let’s make it work.

The NDIS is making a difference every day. But we know it’s still not working for everyone. That’s why Every Australian Counts is bringing everyone together with the NDIS Make It Work forums.

This forum is one of a series of over 30 Make it Work forums we have held around the country since August 2018.

The forums give people the opportunity to have their voice heard and to hear from other local people with disability, carers and providers about the NDIS issues that matter most to them.

Your local MPs will be invited to the forums, so that they can hear directly from their constiuents about what they can do to make the NDIS work in your local community.

It’s a chance to ask questions, tell your stories and show how important it is that we make the NDIS work.

Learn more about Every Australian Counts on our website.

"Make it Work" for Redland!

Register your attendance to the Redland "Make it Work" forum through this Eventbrite form. You will be kept updated with event information and reminders in the lead up to the forum.

Access

We take accessibility very seriously at Every Australian Counts.

We always hold our events at venues that are wheelchair accessible, Guide Dog friendly, have accessible parking, and more. We make sure only one person speaks at a time using a microphone so that it is easier to hear from anywhere in the room. We can provide extra support - please let us know what you need and how we can contact you when you are registering - or send us a seperate email if you prefer.

This forum will have in-person live captioning showed on a screen. Unfortuantely we have not been able to secure two Auslan interpreters to attend - like everywhere in Australia right now Auslan interpreters are in high demand in SE Queensland. We have not received any requests for Auslan interpreters - but please do let us know if you would like us to arrange that and we will be in touch.

The Redland Performing Arts Centre has information on their website about the venue's accessible bathrooms, parking and more here. Guide Dogs are welcome.
