Description

Do you want to learn about your housing options in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

Moonee Valley City Council is holding a free workshop run by the Summer Foundation to explore the housing supports available under the NDIS.

The workshop is for people with disability, their family and carers to think about their housing options, share their ideas and discuss their goals. The workshop will provide information and resources on:

NDIS and Housing

How to define your housing related goals

Using capacity building funding to look for housing

Mainstream housing options

The workshop will also cover Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), including:

What is SDA
Where to find it
How to test your eligibility

Who is the Summer Foundation?

The Summer Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organisation changing human service policy and practice related to young people in nursing homes. Your workshop presenters have a background in disability and extensive knowledge and experience about the NDIS and Aged Care.

The Clocktower Centre is wheelchair accessible and has accessible bathrooms. If you have any additional specific access requirements or require as Auslan Interpreter for the event please contact the Disability Access and Inclusion Officer Andrea McGrath on 9243 1405.
