Join us in celebrating with Kids in Nature Network, Manningham City Council, partners and friends, at the Wombat Bend Playspace on the banks of the Yarra River to launch Nature Play Week 2017. The event will be followed by refreshments, outdoor networking and Nature Play activities. Children are very welcome.
Nature Play Week Launch
9.30 am for a 10.00 am start - 11.30 am
The launch features Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO; Senior Aboriginal Elder of the Wurundjeri People of Melbourne and surrounds and author of the book Welcome to Country and Trace Balla; the creator of the multi-award-winning children’s books Rivertime and Rockhopping..
Nature Play Week Activities
12 noon - 2.00 pm
Following the launch, you are invited to take part in our Nature Play activities. Come and build a cubby, create nature craft and explore Wombat Bend Playspace and the beautiful Yarra River environment with our entertaining nature detectives.
When: Wednesday 12 April 2017
Where: Wombat Bend Playspace, Finns Reserve, Duncan St, Templestowe Lower
(In case of extreme weather, the launch will be held at Templetowe Scout Hall - Cnr Riverwood La & Duncan St, Templestowe Lower and Nature Play activities will be cancelled)
Age: All ages welcome
Bookings: Registration is essential for both the launch and Nature Play activties. Places are limited to 90 for the launch. Book now.
