About this Event
Want to be a nature photographer or simply snap some great pics on your next family bushwalk? Learn tricks of the trade and practice looking at the world with an artistic eye in this photography workshop.
Using your point and shoot device (camera, smartphone, or tablet), participants will be guided through fun photography challenges that spark creativity. Experiment taking pics of mini-beasts, museum specimens, and treasures from the garden.
Part of the workshop will involve an onsite tour of our fantastic 2020 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world through stunning images by professional, emerging, and junior photographers.
This hands-on workshop will inspire participants to explore, focus, capture, and share moments in time that have the power to stir emotion and conservation of the wonderful world around us.
Cost: FREE with Creative Kids voucher or $100 per child. Price includes GST and individual activity pack for use during workshop and is yours to keep! Pack includes macro lens attachment for smartphone or tablet, kaleidoscope mirrors, lens cloth, peacock feather, crystal, and photography challenge card.
Ages: 13-16 years (younger children can check out our Nature Photography for Children workshop)
Date: Wednesday 13 January 2021 (onsite workshop). If you are not able to attend the onsite workshop, sign-up for our online workshop on Thursday 14 January 2021.
Time: 2pm-4pm
What to bring: Point and shoot device such as a camera, smartphone or tablet. Hat for venturing outside. Water bottle and snack.
Bookings essential. Limited capacity of 16 participants per workshop to allow for individual attention and feedback. Book early to avoid disappointment!
