Come and celebrate the diversity of our Gold Coast fauna with World Wildlife Day. A day for celebration, awareness and action! You will be able to get up close to some of our iconic wildlife with live animal displays plus interactive activities, guest speakers, native plant sales, kids craft and learn what actions you can take to keep our wildlife safe.

There will be a number of displays and interactive activities for all ages.

• Get up close with a range of Australian wildlife such as snakes, lizards, insects, birds, native bees, cuddly mammals, and slimy sea creatures.

• Become a citizen scientist with an interactive waterbug activity.

• Learn how to keep our wildlife safe with Wildcare Australia Inc.

• Sit back and enjoy our guest speakers talking about all things wildlife.

• The kids can get crafty with Green Heroes with their ‘Who lives in a hallow?’ plasticine models.

• Learn about our local humpback whales and dolphins and how you can be involved in their conservation.

• Join the City’s Koala Friends Program and learn how you can help protect our local koala populations.

• The City’s Animal Management Unit will teach you how to be a responsible pet owner which will help save our native wildlife.
